FAQ

How do I contact you if I have questions?

Please see my “Contact” page for my email or cell phone number.  Either one is an easy way to get ahold of me.

How far in advance should I send out invitations?

If most of the wedding guests are in town, 2 months is acceptable.  If most guests will be traveling, 3 to 4 months is better to give them time to plan ahead.  Earlier is always better when it comes to me.  Calligraphy will take 2 to 3 weeks, so plan for that as well.

Why does it cost extra for dark or opaque envelopes?

For white or light envelopes, I can see through the paper to my guide sheet beyond.  For opaque paper, I have to draw guidelines on each piece which takes extra time per envelope.

What is the best etiquette for names and addresses?  What is the difference between inner and outer envelopes?

Here is a link that will help from The Knot.

The outer envelope contains the full names of the couple or person and their address. The inner envelope includes just their names, children’s names, or guests’ names.  If you are adding “and guest”, the inner envelope is typically the place to do so.

What is the process to get the envelopes to you?

Once you receive the envelopes, send them to me as soon as possible.  This includes the 15-20% extra for my mistakes.  Once I have received your 50% deposit, I will complete your order and send the envelopes back to you.  I will keep the extras you have given me, in the case you find an error when you receive them.  This way I can fix it quickly.  I will then send you the final bill.

If I have a specific font or lettering style I like, are you capable of creating that?

Yes, I am definitely willing to try any new style if you have something specific in mind.
